Picking from the pages of ÂAdhi Parva of the epic the Mahabharatha  the days of Upamanyu, Uddhalaka and Veda under the tutelage of Dhowmya Maharshi writer JM Prahallad has made a socially relevant children script that is universal in its theme. The film ÂGurukula the ancient ÂGuru and Shishya system is focused in the direction of Sunil Puranik. This is the debut direction of Puranik who is in the film, television acting and television direction of mythological and historical subjects. This is my tribute to those who shaped up me in professional career says Sunil Puranik.
The subject in ÂGurukula is neatly carved to make it relevant to the present scenario. The significance of nature, animal, water, peace are focused in interesting screenplay of this film says Sunil Puranik. He has completed the film shoot in 20 days.
Producer Bakery Srinivas in his 9th film ÂGurukula admitted that he does films for awards, subsidy and honors without missing social relevance. The previous film of Bakery Srinivas ÂKurunadu bagged two state wards in the last year. He is censoring the film before 31st December and entering the contest.
Master Sachin Bhardwaj, Master Sameera Kulkarni and Master Saurab Kulkarni are in the traditional get up of students of ÂGurukulaÂ. Srinivasa Prabhu a senior actor is in the mentor role.
